1. GS1 Digital Link Compliance
Standard barcodes can only be read by traditional retail point-of-sale (POS) systems, while QR codes are typically meant for smartphones. The GS1 Digital Link standard bridges this gap. By encoding key identifiers like the GTIN (Global Trade Item Number), Batch/Lot Number, Serial Number, and Expiration Date into a standard-compliant web URI, your product's QR code can be scanned by cash registers for checkout and by consumer smartphones for traceability information.
2. Interactive Cold-Chain Telemetry
Keep your products safe. Our dashboard lets you define a Cold-Chain Safe Limit Threshold (°C). You can then log temperature readings at each checkpoint. If the temperature exceeds your configured safe ceiling, our platform flags critical alerts on the scan page, notifying both operators and consumers of potential cold-chain deviations.
3. The Q10 Freshness Engine
To make temperature logs useful to everyday consumers, we built an Arrhenius/Q10-based spoilage decay calculator. Spoilage rates typically double for every 10°C rise above the safe threshold. The Freshness Engine automatically calculates the effective shelf-life hours consumed across all checkpoints and generates a simple, real-time Freshness Grade (A, B, C, or F), providing an immediate indicator of product quality.
4. Cryptographic Data Integrity
To prevent tampering, checkpoints are cryptographically hashed and chained together. Consumers can inspect the verification certificate directly on the scan page, comparing the cryptographic signature against the on-platform audit log to ensure no transit details or temperature readouts were modified after recording.
5. Interactive Mapping and Logistics Routes
With built-in coordinate mapping, the scan page displays a beautiful interactive map showing the exact transit path of the shipment, complete with glowing routes and color-coded checkpoint markers showing temperature status at a glance.
How to Use TaaS on Our Platform
Setting up traceability for your products takes only a few minutes. Here is how to do it:
- Create a Traceability Profile: Go to the QR Creator, select the Traceability QR type, and fill in the grower/producer name, crop type, harvest date, and origin location.
- Set Your Cold-Chain Thresholds: Define the safe temperature ceiling and standard shelf life (in hours) for your product.
- Add Checkpoints: Add checkpoints manually to document each stage (e.g., Harvest, Packing, In Transit, Sorting). If you have existing logs, you can import them instantly using a standard CSV upload. You can also export checkpoints at any time.
- Enable GS1 Compliance: Toggle the GS1 Digital Link section, input your 14-digit GTIN, and add batch or serial information.
- Print Labels: Use the built-in printer functionality to generate standards-compliant barcode labels for your packaging.
